As for diameter, no, it's not a huge upgrade. Courtesy's site says it has a 6.8% increase in swept area, which I would have thought would be double that if the extra half inch was all in the swept surface but apparently it's mostly hub. The extra 2mm width is also not a big upgrade but more mass is more mass I guess. The calipers on the site are aluminum, which is good for unsprung weight. They don't list a piston size though I would imagine it's probably pretty close to the stock size. You'd be surprised how a relatively minor change in piston size can alter the feel and power of the brakes, given that you're uping the size of 8 pistons. The biggest thing is that if the rotors on their site are what you're getting then you'll have the superior directional venting. That alone goes pretty far in terms of heat dissipation so for a modified street car that might see light track duty it seems like a fairly good option.
